I agree that it looks a poor specimen, whatever it is. Blueberries are actually quite difficult to grow properly unless you have the right conditions, even in a pot. I devote far too much time to mine, watering with rainwater and mulching with pine needles. If it is a blackcurrant you will find it much easier, and they are equally nutritious. The new sweeter and dwarfer varieties of blackcurrant are good eaten straight from the bush.
