Bird bath fountain?

Hi all, had anyone had any experience with the little solar water fountains in bird baths? I have them in water features and love them but not sure if they would work in a bird bath? Do they attract or deter birds? Any personal experience would’ve invaluable thanks

    I don't know about solar water features, but I have a pond with quite a big waterfall and 3 'steps' going down to the pond. The birds stand on one of the lower steps and shower underneath the falling water and drink from it too.

    Thanks Pete, birds don’t use the bath much at the moment hoped it might attract a few more?

    Maybe the bath is not in a position that the birds feel safe about using it?
    I have one in my front garden and birds use it on and off during the day. It's most important to keep them clean too and filled with fresh water to prevent disease.

    I have one in my bird bath, and it doesn't put the pigeons or magpies off. They use it as a bath/shower combo !
    The smaller birds tend to use the shallower bird bath.

    I had one of these solar powered water fountains. It looked lovely and did not stop the birds using the bird bath as they still had space to get on as it's quite big.  

    A seagull attacked it and it now does not work 😥

    Setting up a perching platform paves way for a more comfortable landing, especially if you want birds of a variety of species and sizes to come over. While this also makes the bath more inviting, it also serves as a preening station for birds after bathing. Furthermore, some birds use it to detect if there’s any danger nearby.
