Help! My lawn is disappearing before my eyes...

Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening? I laid a new lawn about two years ago and it was ok until last Autumn - over the winter this has happened. Next doors is fine - he has the same type of fence and a similar lack of sunlight. Any ideas gratefully received - also how to r
