Problem Corner

Recently had an old brick shed knocked down which has left a problem corner.
South facing area with concrete base at rear of garage wall therefore well protected from east and west winds. A sheltered spot. The water supply for garden is also situated in this area as you will see from photo. Area size roughly 5m x 4m . Any thoughts on how to best use this area.

    Looks like an ideal spot for a nursery area - seed trays and pots, pricked out plants that need growing on, cold frames for protecting new plants.  Or maybe some shelves for storage of pots and doings and a wall-mounted reel for your hose pipe.  

    If you want it to be decorative I would paint that plain wall on the left and maybe the shed and then use it to display pots of plants you can't grow in your soil eg acid lovers or ones needing better drainage.

    Hi @Peter553. What's the brown screening [?] on the left?
    The raised area poses a bit of a problem, but you could always create a raised bed there for climbers/shrubs/annuals depending on your likes and dislikes. It would need a gap at the base to allow drainage.
    If the base wasn't there you could use it for compost bins, but access is difficult as it is.

    You could turn it into a potting shed area. How fancy that would be is up to you, and how much you want to spend, or how much work you want to put in. The raised area could be a nursery area for cuttings and seed sowing, pot storage etc., with part of it being becoming the actual potting  surface. It may be a bit too low, so you could add some additional height, which can be as fancy or basic as you want.
    A simple screen of trellis or similar across the front to hide it all, is all you'd need after that. If you make it a gate, that makes access easier. A large container for a climber at the back would help cover the brick wall too.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    To the left the garage wall is being rendered. Access is a slight problem but using this area to generate cuttings or put a cold frame sounds good. Yes covering the walls would be a good idea. Lots to think about. Thanks.
