Garlic

I planted garlic two or three years ago and never saw it again until recently. Some good healthy looking plants have now appeared. How do I know when to harvest them?
In London. Keen but lazy.

    When the foliage starts turning yellow in summer.  Use a fork to loosen the bulbs. Don't just pull.
