    The daphne is odora 'Aureomarginata' I think.

    I'm wondering about Lovage for this one ... do the leaf stems have a groove down them?

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Looked at some pics of Lovage... doesnt look similar. Dont remember about the groove.

    Umbelifers are hard...so many look similar.
    Try returning to this plant when it has flowers...that may help.
