  I have a dranunculus  vulgaris in my garden and that is considerably smaller* than this plant.

  Plants in pots don't always grow to the same size as they would outside - different levels of food available and different soil temps too.

  Welcome to the forums!
  How very interesting.
  I have never seen any Araceae (Arisaema, Dracunculus, amorphophallus etc) with a sort of forked tongue inside.
  Do please add more pics as this unusual plant grows.

  The flower has now began to die and the leaves have appeared. Because of the shape of the leaves I have determined it must be some form of dracunculus however as you can see in the photos the flower hasn't opened. Because the flower hasn't opened I have reason to believe it is either a disease or mutation or some strange form of hybrid (which is unlikely). It seems that all of the growth is coming from the male zone and the sterile zone on the spadix. If anyone has seen this happen before or has any idea what has caused this unique flower please tell me.

  I just wonder if it isn't a little bit dry and just needs a drink.  The compost looks very dry and the terracotta pot will soak up moisture too.
