Blueish bloom on raspberry canes

This is pretty but I assume is not particularly good. Anyone know what it is?

    I don't think that's a raspberry.  It looks more like Rubus cockburnianus to me, an ornamental bramble which has that silvery bloom on the canes in winter...
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    Hello. Thanks for replying. I think it's on two different canes. One is Glen Coe and the other might well be an ornamental bramble, which would explain why the fruit are a bit rubbish (not a patch on the non-ormanental, luscious-fruited bramble which a gardener once got rid of for me...), but it was sold to me as a black raspberry.

    But I think maybe the same phenomenon. What threw me was that I thought it was on two different plants. I need to go and check. (I have a sticking back door, so it takes time...!) Thanks again.
