Love the outfit WE. Just had a nice hour and half walk and avoided all likely suspects.
We sometimes go around the proper fields or Mill Meadow that are both just round the corner, but they're still way too mucky and boggy atm. and she has a passion for a daily visit to the pet shop even if I don't let her go in - and there's a Gregg's just across the road too and the possibility of a tiny flake of pastry to be had - all too tempting for her and I'm way too soft.
We're fresh out of rock cakes, so time to make some more - a handful of chopped white chocolate as well as fruit and vanilla makes them rather too moreish - they never get to go stale. Just made the pastry for MB's quiche lorraine that I'll be having for dinner tonight so looking forward to a high cholesterol evening with a glass of red and forget about viruses for a while

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
More of an issue is that people are not meant to be socialising and keeping a distance of up to 2m from others, so you are probably more likely to catch it from the people coming close to you to pat the dog if she is on a lead. Plus virus can live more than 12hrs (or three days depending on what you read) on any surface and there is no reason to believe a dog’s coat is immune. Dogs can catch the virus too, there have been cases in China. Ridiculous that people are putting themselves and you at risk, no matter how cute she is.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Dogs can get coronavirus, there is a clinically recognised canine form. Press reports also say a dog in Hong Kong tested positive for the new Covid-19 @Lyn, but who knows what implications, if any, there are for humans. More concerned about human-human contact if people are being stupid and not keeping their distance! I’m pretty relaxed about the whole thing, but it’s still sensible to take precautions and if anyone wanted to get up close with me out walking my dogs I’d tell them to b*gger off.

I used to walk next doors Great Danes. The female had a bad habit of trying to nudge you into the canal if she could, alternately she greeted new people by giving them a good sniff and nudge in the crotch. People backed off after that.
I think you should continue asking people not to touch your dog but just make sure you wash your hands as soon as you can. I have a dog people like to stroke, he doesn't appear to give a monkeys, but they still try. I now have a plastic mixing bowl, hand towel, bottle of water and bar of soap in my car so I can wash my hands. You could keep a separate micro fibre cloth in a plastic bag to wipe your dog down after anyone has stroked it.
Tell them not to be so bl**dy rude, if you've asked them not to touch her.
Whether or not it can be passed on [and I'm sure that's a debatable point ] you've asked them not to, so that's that. WTF is wrong with people?
Couldn’t agree more. On a par with random strangers touching my bump, without even bothering to ask me first, when I was last pregnant many moons ago. Gobsmakingly rude 😡

Or you could have a prolonged coughing fit yourself @Pete.8
