Thanks LB you can just see the poorly rhododendron by the bird bath, I give it a drink of cold tea most mornings hoping that will help. Going to plant up planters today I am really pleased with them. Happy Gardening!

That's a horrible news PF. It was strange to me that swallows didn't arrived this spring.
Similar news came from Serbia last week. Hundreds of birds and bees just died. They suspect the reason is new 5G emitters.  I'm not very well informed but this is a hot issue, with virus of course.

Songbird, my onions are all planted and one major job is done. Next job is potatoes.

I came back from the school, literally. Few papers waited for me just to put my signature on it.

Pansy such very sad news after their difficult endeavours.  Debs Gatsby is the same colouring as my Alfie but long haired.  LB it sounds like your gift to the birds has been very useful for their nesting.  Chive there are some recipes on line showing how to make bread without yeast.

Morning PF, Hazel, Ruby and Rosie. PF that is an horrendous tale about the poor migrating birds. I used to get incensed hearing about them being shot as they flew over the Mediterranean islands. I feel even happier now having seen those flying over my house yesterday - survivors. I am sorry to read that you are only feeling so so PF. You take it easy - you have already done your tomato growing for Charity - sit back and witter away on the forum.
Debs, I have to say that your rhododendron doesn't look too bad. When you get the chance, after all this madness, you can buy a specific feed for acid loving plants. Its a good idea to line your planters with old compost bags or any sort of plastic to preserve the life of the wood. Hazel, take it easy - there is nothing worse than having a bad back.

Morning. Sorry - been AWOL for a couple of days. Been busy in the garden and elsewhere.

Went to W'rose yesterday (first time in over 2 weeks) and the queue to get in was round the car park (because of the one in one out rule). Had a very long list (because I hadn't been for a while) and knew the other SM's would be worse, so decided to stick it out. Took half an hour to get in but (like most other people) I occupied my time catching up with phone calls. One lady had a book and a camping stool - she'd obviously been caught out before! Next time I'll try going in the evening. Can't go earlier in the morning because I'm not old enough🤣

Nice to see you @pansyface. Have you still got hoards of walkers near your garden who think the social distancing rules don't apply to them? Well done on the tomato plant sales - excellent result!! Good to hear Elsa & LC have reached a sort-of truce. Cats are masters of that silent swearing aren't they? You just know their language is absolutely filthy!

Our little village made a bit of noise for the NHS last night including a couple of fireworks and some whistles. Heartwarming to hear.

OH has just gone off for an hour's bike ride and I'm about to tackle the weed patch which is the front border - again. It's taking days.

I shall also be making coffee, toasting a hot cross bun and sitting in the sun, listening to bees and enjoying the scent of the viburnums which are absolutely glorious at the moment. Lovely😎

Well I got my clover plants planted into the front garden and watered in. Once I've had something to eat I am going out to sow some cut and come again lettuce. Its a lovely day.

Chive onion bread sounds tempting.  Hazel I’m glad you found some bird food on e***.  LB it seems we are being encouraged to grow our own and the cut and come again lettuce is a good 💡idea.  Pansy rest up girl and put your feet up.  Those tomatoes will be appreciated.  Lily hope you and oh are okay.  Right I’m off to do the litter.
