No pronunciation ambiguity in Spanish, the rules are very clear and rigid, and there is no aaah sound, only the short a as it cat. As for Catalán, for some of the sounds it’s impossible to get an English tongue around and the pronunciation rules are variable and mysterious. Still can’t say ‘eggs’
