Weeds

I was going to use my empty  Round Up pump action sprayer to fill with boiling water.  I would need to pump it to get the pressure.... wondering if it's safe in the container..... has anyone else done it ? Can I over pressurised with it being boiling water?  I want to use boiling water on  my weeds instead  of chemicals.

    Please don't
The bottle is not designed to hold boiling water and would likely distort and you may get burned.
Spraying weeds with boiling water will have no effect whatsoever.
The fine droplets will cool as soon as they leave the pump - you'll just be watering weeds
I'd suggest a more traditional approach

Has anyone used a steam weeder?   Any recommendations?  Slightly less soul destroying than a hoe.

Love hoeing ... a good sharp Dutch hoe with a smooth wooden handle ... a sunny morning and the sound of the hoe in the soil cutting through the weedlings ... the sound of work on every allotment on a Sunday morning and part of what gardening is all about for me 😊

Did you mean the flame gun types, with a gas canister @eronnie?

I think they are more popular  abroad.   Yes similar to the heat gun, like a wallpaper  stripper.  I have a massive space to keep on top of, working full time and young family, hence time saving.   I love my garden but last year I couldn't keep on top of it.  This year I have started using boiling water which works a treat.  Takes a while though, boiling kettle over and over!

Sounds like a lot of work and not good for you leccy/gas bill, let alone the carbon emissions and the effects on micro organisms which would be beneficial if you weren't cruelly scalding them to death.

Weeds are opportunists.  reduce the amount of free soil in which they can germinate and you'll have fewer weeds.  Go through you garden, meter by metre, hoeing and lifting weeds and then plant immediately with good ground cover perennials.

Treating a massive space with kettles full of boiling water? 🥴

People have been managing gardens and allotments for years without carrying boiling water around. Please reconsider ... that’s dangerous.

Apart from the associated problems with boiling water, as already mentioned, it would be cheaper to get a general gardener in now and again to do a tidy up.  :)
