Lidl Hydrangea

I have just bought some Lidl’s hydrangeas which are in flower now.
my question is will they flower again in June when they normally do and will they be fully hardy like normal? Thanks 😊

No. They're forced into flower early. Just take a little bit of time acclimatising it when putting it outside permanently.
It will then perform as normal in future  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

No they won’t flower again this year ... they've been forced into flower early by keeping them in warmer more sheltered conditions ... the flowers and leaves will not be hardy if kept outside at this time of year.

I would keep them in a conservatory or cool room for now, hardening them off as spring progresses so you can plant them outside when the blooms are fading.

In following years they should be hardy and behave just as other unforced hydrangeas do.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
