    That’s quite a showstopper @katsa I can understand wanting a repeater though.

It's part of the reason why I've tried to avoid DA roses @peteS. I'm a bit contrary that way  :p

In all seriousness, i think they're beautiful roses and will certainly add more to my collection, but I don't want to have a DA only garden. I've selected Boscobel, wild edric and desdemona as my next DA purchases. I'd also like to grow the gentle gardener, but not sure where...

@peteS so true what you say about DA, they seem to have 80% of my local garden centre's rose section dedicated to them. They certainly know how to run a business!

@Katsa you have a lovely selection of DA roses on your list- I can't praise Wild Edric and Desdemona enough! I've got rid of my Boscobel this year though as it has the weak neck problem...all flowers point downwards. Lovely rose otherwise though.

Lots of talk about orange roses- I don't know what happened with my vigorous Warm Welcome, but it did not survive the wet winter and died on me! To be honest, I wasn't that sad about it as I found the bright orange a bit too much and don't even get me started on the thorns  :#!

DA marketing also makes it easy for people new to roses to get interested in roses and choose roses with attribute they want like colour, size, fragrance etc. I wish other sellers andbreeders did that, no as much exaggeration as DA by planting densly and but nicer detailed photos and more details would definitely help.

TBH i was totally put off from roses by seeing all the ugly bare HTs full of black spots in nearby front gardens until i saw some DA roses online and ordered their catalog.

I agree @newbie77 their website and catalogue are wonderful and certainly have the wow factor, and it was the catalogue, posted to me from somewhere, which really got me interested in roses, and in particularly their roses. I can't even bring myself to throw the catalogues out they're so nice.

Oh yes the front garden HTs are pretty much universally off-putting...

..fabulous pergola roses posted earlier today... The Garland is so much better than the too oft used Rambling Rector..
