    I’ve never used propagators or lights, if you wait for the correct time, Mother Nature will do the job.
    I sow them at the end of March or even end of April, keep potting on and plant out the following Spring. 
    Never had a problem with germinating. 

    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    We are all often a bit impatient when we start gardening but just go by the instructions on the packets. I use a heated propagator and I am sowing my first seeds today. Good luck with the lupins! 😀

    Of all the seeds I have tried to grow, Lupins have been the easiest and most successful. If sown at the right time as mentioned above, they germinate within days. I’ve never bought a lupin plant since and there are so many more interesting seed varieties than plants sold in a garden centre. 
    Life's tragedy is that we get old too soon and wise too late.
