    Not sure I like the Green Alkanet - its taking over :-(


    Err. Yes it will!
    Near us is a famous Rhododendron garden. Glendoick. owned by the Cox family.
    Halfway between Perth and Dundee.
    Open 1st April to end of May.
    Sadly their whole wood if full of this invasive thug.

  • I’ve pulled out lots of Alkanet this morning.. wow they have such long roots?! I didn’t have these in my last garden..our garden now backs on to woodland so maybe that’s why we have so many? We only moved 3 miles down the road in Wirral and there is such a difference. I do love my new garden but this will be the first spring we have spent here. I’m waiting to find out what else will come up. Exciting but hard work!!

  • I think you are right about the foxglove dovefromabove.. pleased I didn’t pull it up! I’m sure I remember some being there in the summer really tall purple flowers
