Cistis

I have a beautiful large white Cistis that has suffered some storm damage. A couple of heavy branches have snapped. I thought it was a good opportunity to cut it back a bit. I believe they don’t like much pruning.
could anyone give me some advice in this please?

As it's been damaged, you might as well give it a go.
In my experience, they're not long lived plants, but neither are they expensive to buy if you have to replace it.

Thank you that’s exactly what I’ve done and it looks all the better for it!
