On Wednesday, my OH will be working with a person who’s work colleague is in hospital with the dreaded, from Hostafan’s way! OH panicking and wants to move into the holiday flat. I’m giving him a wet towel soaked in washing up liquid for hands face and door handles, and he’s to tell the chap not to cough or sneeze in the truck. Not going to daughters for mother’s day, grandson’s up and down to Exeter on the train and apparently it’s positive in Exeter university. If only people could stay in and not share it about, unfortunately it’s not that easy when a rent has to be paid.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
There are always going to be those superspreaders, who barely realise they have it, and spread it around to all and sundry. Most of those would be normal healthy children and young adults.
My friends daughter gave up a job here, to go and play football in Australia. She arrived last Monday, played on Friday with jet lag, but still scored a goal after 6 minutes and assisted on another. This morning all football and training has been stopped in South Australia.
Good to see details on all the mutual aid groups appearing. We have five umbrella groups in our North London ward and most streets now have their own Whatsapp group in operation for leafleting and phone contact for long term support, med, grocery and, of course, cake delivery. Our local ward councillor is taking a strong, fast and constructive lead.
@Janie B - I agree with @dovefromabove about finding out if you have a local hospice-at-home service (your GP will know) as they can visit to do some care planning and decision making wishes with you both. Making advanced decisions will not only help if she becomes unwell, but will help your Mum be able to have a say in how she would prefer to spend her last days. So sad for you, but you are right to be pragmatic and proactive. Thinking of you and everyone with similar situations.
Thanks @Fire but we are in Edgware so Muswell Hill bit far from us. Our NDN called today & offered any help but to be honest we will probably be helping our Daughter & her tribe so long as we stay fit, we are both below the magic age anyway.

People cannot stay still.
