Something is living in my compost bin...

    Always keep one empty bin so you can turn the compost from one bin into another ... that way the stuff on the top goes to the bottom.

    I have pallet bins 5 in a row I only ever have 4 full so i move them along 1 bin at a time. Just fork it from 1 to the next once I get them moved all 1 way I move them back again. I'm a bit of a mad composter so they get turned a lot

    How long does that take you? There is probably 8-10 wheelbarrow loads in each of our bins so moving the contents of 2 (we have 3) would be back breaking!

    Hi Mandyroberts99 I didn't say it was easy though personally I do, but then I am a big guy and do physical manual work all day so used to it. I do manage to produce a large amount of compost through this route while also providing lots entertainment for my kids who think I'm totally bonkers 🤣

    I'm 5'2" and although I have horses turning compost is a bit much! I'll have to work on my OH.....
