Starting begonias

I’ve just bought some begonia corms and am wondering if anyone has any tips on the best wat to start them off. I’ve not had much luck with them in the past so any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.

    They need some heat and make sure they are in well drained compost and the right way up. The curved bit goes to the bottom.

    Thanks, I’ve been watching other videos some sat to lightly cover and water all the soil bulb included, others say bulb level with surface and never get it wet! Is it basically just hit and miss?
