    @rachelleyar - You were showing all the hallmarks of a WUM or someone who was going to try advertising/spamming. We often get plagued by this on the forum.

    @Obelixx is right. People can't respond correctly/appropriately if they don't have relevant information.

    As has been said - if you don't have insects you don't have a productive, attractive, decorative garden to use and sit in. If you don't want insects then you'll have to pave it, or similar,  and have a more sterile environment.
    Or do as Obelixx suggests re candles etc.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • If you enclose a garden space with a roof and sides with no access for birds and other creatures it stops being a garden and becomes a room ... is that what you want or are we totally misunderstanding you?

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
