Cutting tips browning/blackening

I moved several hydrangea cuttings out of a heated propagater so they are now under some grow lights (about 6” under the light).  I’ve noticed some darkening of leaves, is this due to the change from damp environment to central heating, too close to the lights, or something else? Any advice appreciated!

    Probably,  hydrangeas don’t need heat, I’ve only ever left them in the greenhouse,  cuttings put in flower pots, plastic bag to conserve moisture for a little while.  They are very hardy plants.

    I’m rather wary of putting them out due to the temperatures at the moment, I’ve maybe got over excited and peaked too early with these. Should I cover them to retain moisture?

    Lid now perched back on top. Once the weather perks up, I’ll start acclimatising them to go outside.
