Rose to prune or not?

I intended to prune this rose bush this month, it has a lot of new growth & now I am not sure if I have left it too late. Would you still prune it & if so how much?

    I don't think it's too late, it's only February and your rose will grow stronger later for being pruned now. Cut off the spindly and dead bits (if any) and shorter it to a more even height up to a third off those taller stems. Some of the new leaves are a bit yellow which could mean that it is hungry so I would feed it. Roses need more feeding when grown in a pot. I often read that you feed roses in spring but I have found that if they are determined to grow leaves early because of mild weather it is better to feed early. If new future leaves die because of a late frost, don't worry it will grow more but it needs food to do so.

    Thanks @Busy-Lizzie - you have just reminded me I need to feed the two roses I have in pots!
