Creeping buttercup

Aside from the obvious, “just keep pulling”, does anyone have any suggestions for getting rid of creeping buttercup? I seem to pull loads out every year, but it just keeps coming back! 
It’s really starting to drive me mad.
It gets in amongst all my plants, which makes it harder to pull out, and just doesn’t seem to ever go away! 

Any ideas welcome!! Please!!!

    I find a deep mulch helps stop seed in the ground (which can remain viable for up to 80 years!) from germinating, but existing plants and runners still need pulling up.
    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    It’s really frustrating. I pull and pull it, but it just keeps coming and spreads so quickly. 1 small plant left, just spreads to loads more in a week or so, then it’s start all over again! 😡😡😡

    Does it sprout from a little bit of root left? Could I hoe it out?

    It really needs digging out, rather than pulling and never let it seed.

    I always get it before it flowers so never let it seed, but cant always get to the back of the border to dig it deeply. I'll keep pulling what I can and hoeing the rest and hope I eventually win the battle.
