Help please

Hi, I have a 30+ year old damson tree which still fruits, it is about 25ft high.  I have recently noticed these growths - can anyone advise what this is please.  Regards Tony.

    I'm no expert, but I'd suspect bacterial canker, possibly... I could be wrong though.  Hope so, because it would be bad news.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

    I'd have to agree (with limited knowledge)

    As it's on the main trunk, can only wait until spring and see what happens.
