Is the growth on my succulent normal?

I’m not very experienced in terms of plants and gardening but I have a few succulents. One of them has grown a pink shoot in the past 2-3 weeks and I’m wondering if it is normal/ healthy? I have had this plant for about 6 months and this has only happened recently. (Picture attached)

    That's so lovely, it's likely flowering. You're so lucky.

    It looks like an Echeveria or a near relative,  but I don't know exactly which one. It's a typical flower spike, the ones I have have flowers stems like that , the flowers are red/yellow bells.
