Music...it's been with me through my life making me smile and cry in equal measure. Just listening to Steve Winwood and was thinking what a year 1986 was for what I classed as classic albums. Winwood had 'Back In The High Life' and Peter Gabriel had 'So and that's all I thought there were as I'd classed to 80's as naff for 'my' music ' - but then I checked and realised 1986 also saw Bob Palmer with 'Riptide', Simpy Red with 'Picture Book' and even Bob Womack did Womagic (not one of his best)....and not forgetting Paul Simon with 'Graceland'.
Can never pick a favourite song, artist or album as it all depends on how I'm feeling at the time - apt really as Steve Winwood is now doing Split Decision..
Funny, but not surprising I suppose, but I could quickly think of 5 albums from 1986 that I thought were classics, and none would be the same as yours !!

How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
I have just completed my new gardening smock. I found the old one in a charity shop 30 years ago and wore it for gardening and the odd spot of decorating. It was nearly threadbare, so I picked it apart and made a paper pattern from it. I found five pairs of jeans on the £1 rail in another charity shop, picked them apart and re-assembled them into a replica of the old smock, with a couple of refinements in the pocket department. I'd show you a photo only my PC refuses to upload them to this website, only to FB.
We have lovely bin men I just saw the fortnightly Garden Bin collection lorry go past up the rise ... I realised OH hadn't remembered and rushed out and shouted 'Am I too late?' ... 'Just pull it out and we'll get it on the way back' the chap shouted back, and he was as good as his word ... bless them. Of course, it helps that we live on a no through road, but they are a particularly good natured crew

Anyone who remembers Lonnie Donegan's "My Old Man's a Dustman" will know that the standard response is: "No - jump up on the cart".

Just for you as I know you get a £1.00 when " deterring cats " are mentioned.
I have a small front garden planted with wild flower plants and it creates a good hiding place for frog and mice.
I have 3 cats from neighbours who come and think they have the right to kill the residents for fun.
I keep the bedroom window open with a bowl full of water ready to give the white one a bath.
The little black one has now learnt to leap a hedge when I open the front door but the tabby stands sideways , arches its back and spits at me.
So 2 to 1 to me.
No cats were harmed in this story.
