Is this the beginning of botrytis leaf mold on my yellow penstemon?

    not sure that's a penstemon. Might it be a phygelius?

    Thank you. Any idea what is causing the brown spots?

    I'd not worry about them at all. I'd cut the whole plant to about 6" in Spring and it'll romp away with lots of new , healthy growth.

    Agree. I’d do exactly the same 😊 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
