Can I hard prune jasmine now?
We had strong winds in Kent this week, which took the felt off the top of my shed and also bent and broke a cheap arch that had jasmine and a rose growing up it.
Because the jasmine has wound and tangled around the arch, and I want to replace the arch with something stronger, can I hard cut back the jasmine for it to regrow up the new arch?
We haven't had the coldest bit of winter yet so should I avoid cutting it, just prop it up for a couple of months? Or what if I prune it and protect it with some straw?
Thanks!
