Wow! What a lovey garden @Perki ! Just out of interest, how many of the helenium plants are in there? Just interested to know how many actual plants produce that volume of flowers...
Thanks I tend to plant in 3's with most plants and defiantly would plant in 3's + with heleniums , they look very dotty on their own . I have three in the back garden waltraut which I've mentioned , the one on the first picture is Moerheim Beauty which is probably my favourite of the 3 starts off red fading to orange and then to a brown copper colour. My other helenium is Sahin early which is long flowering and more vigorous its at the top of the border but not quite got going yet, its more multi coloured with yellows / oranges / reds. I plant more mature plants 2litre + they are more resilient to slug attacks.
Persicaria has gone a bit weird this year. Foliage went chartreuse before any flowers appeared. Actually quite a stunning effect. Eupatorium in the background
The Alchemilla has gone over but I’m still enjoying the ‘frothiness’ and colour is mixing well with Rozanne and Buddleia (grown last year from a cutting)
My favourite little corner at the moment. An explosion of colour (phlox, hydrangea, diascia and verbena)
Oh my god there really is an abundance of absolutely stunning gardens on here, I'm lost for words just wow! Mine garden is more vintage shabby upcycled and rugged I suppose, but I'm pretty new to gardening and have only been at it for 5 years and the first 3 were spent on my courtyard at my previous house so more pots than anything else, and then I moved from there to london and the garden I got was absolutely bloody horrendous to be honest I cried, there was dog poo everywhere roughly about 5 years worth of it yuk!! and then there was the glass, the random smashed bottles literally everywhere I dug down by about 2 feet and still there was glass littered everywhere! It just wasnt safe and the pond absolutely stunk rotten and then there was the burnt out sofa and the fence that clearly had cought fire whilst the previous owner was having a bonfire to burn all her furniture! So I've managed to now get it looking cute and child friendly!
Thank you every one for your lovely photos, such creativity being displayed and very inspirational. @pitter-patter may i ask what pics 2 and 4 (most recent) are please? very unusual and pretty. t i a
A selection of ganzania, one of my favorite flowers (even if the wind and rain knocked all the stems down and slugs got a meal, please pretend they are upright and show quality!)
