Anybody propagated one of these?

    Is that a tradescantia house plant?  I used to just break off a piece and put in small pot of compost, don’t over water.  You can put 4 pieces round the edge of a 3 or 4” pot.
    of course, I could be completely wrong, I’m useless at plant id 😀

  • Yes I think that's its name, I've grown wandering jew on in a jar of water until roots show, just wondering if the same can be done to this plant.

    Yes it’s a tradescantia.  As Lyn says take some cuttings and leave them in a jam jar of water for a few weeks and they’ll grow roots and you can pot them up. You really need 3or 4 cuttings in each pot to make a decent houseplant.
