Pls help identify this plant?

I have seen this tree at a park, but don't know what it is - I'd really like to get one! Please can anyone identify it?

The pink Cornus Kousa is Miss satomi.
There is a pink Cornus florida "Rubra"  I think your photo shows it with the bracts just starting to open. They then flatten out to form the star shape.

  • Ah ok - Got it! the flowers weren't fully open when i saw them! Sorry to be thick! thanks for you help

Not thick!  How can you be expected to know how a flower or bract behaves as it unfurls?

It's beautiful so I hope you find one.  The RHS website has a plant finder facility which identifies nurseries stocking plants so if your local places don't have it, try that.
