    Yes, I didn't answer because I don't know! In my experience, wisteria covers whole houses and I have no idea if it will flower when cut right back. It can take a couple of years to get established, though.

  • Thanks folks. I think I will cut the wisteria back a bit. I do have the RHS book Pruning & Training but all the advice seems to focus on after flowering/mature plants. The long stems are very thin and whippy so a trim will hopefully produce sturdier new growth. (There are signs of new buds already forming.)
