  • Here are photos of the bush cuttings came from. It’s at the bottom of a sloping bank - planted by the developers, so taller than appears in picture.  It isn’t Mountbatten, which is a yellow rose.

Wow, thanks @Lyn Plant-Wells, that's really kind of you to go to all the trouble and your cuttings have done really well. Nice foliage too.

I wouldn't know from that whole shrub photo if it was Champagne Moment or not but it looks like a sizeable plant, hips too I see.

    Thank you :)

Oh, by the way, what made you think it might be Glyndebourne? Are you familiar with it and/or can recommend it?

  • My pleasure Victoria.
Being in a public area and only pruned by me (or shown the hedge trimmers by the contracted gardeners!)  it doesn’t get any feeding/watering or looking after. It’s amazingly resilient and was covered with a multitude of blooms last year. Minimal black-spot too.

Someone on here suggested Glyndebourne. I think it’s nearest to Champagne Moment.
It doesn’t seem to have quite the right shaped blooms for Macmillan Nurse.
Incidentally, my daughter gave me Chandos Beauty last year. It has a wonderful scent and beautiful shaped blooms. See photos.
  • Thanks again, I think I will get Glyndebourne due to advertised height and hope it is halfway as lovely as your rose.
