Bees

Hi, could someone please tell me if this is normal for this time of year. 
I have not seen any bee's for quite a few weeks now but today I went in the garden and there where quite a few bee's over my fatisa japonica, ten or more. 
Here is a photo, is this normal for this time.

    My mahonia is beginning to flower right now and I can’t wait for the bumblebees to appear. They love this plant and I love the bumblebees 🥰

    Bees need food throughout the year, they will forage during the Winter months and can be found in many late seasonal flowering plants.
    The attached list is very useful if wanting to make your garden very bee/pollinator friendly all year round.

    Thank you both, I have plants in my garden for the bee's but I have never seen them in my garden this time of year, so wasn't sure if this was normal or not.

    I doubt I shall see any bees out here as we are usually a degree or two colder than the South of the UK but I could do with some to pollinate my quince, which has decided to flower now.
