Please be aware that a weed killer for grass fields that are grown for horse hay feed are sprayed with a chemical named aminopyralid. This weed killer is not broken down in the horse's gut but passes through and into the manure that you may be spreading on your land. Aminopyralids are only broken down after contact with soil and may take a year or even longer to completely be broken down. Any plants coming in contact with aminopyralids will be stunted and distorted. If you need to know more, Charles Dowding, a commercial organic grower has vids on youtube showing his destroyed crop, after spreading horse manure that he got from a neighbouring farmer.
My niece has two horses and has planted a hedge of some sort round one of her fields. I asked her if she used the horse manure on her hedge plants as I thought it had to be well rotted before use. Her answer was (excuse the language!) "Oh, I just use it straight from their bums" and her plants are growing like mad, hehe.

I think a lot of plants can take it fresh but you are also spreading seeds they have eaten. I did that myself in my garden and regretted it for a long time. But for hedges around a field it would be fine

I asked my local farmer and you are correct. He hasn't used products with that chemical for a long time and I guess that this is probably the case with many farmers these days but its worth knowing
