One of us has to be She used to work for the licencing dept of the council and part of their remit was permitting the keeping of dangerous pets. The only thing in the borough though was some kind of dwarf caiman I think.

Well I've had about a 25% germination rate but I've had to move the pots to a window sill now and remove the plastic lids so it's cooler and less humid for the rest to hatch. I've got a couple of strong looking seedlings but they're looking very pale at the moment which isn't promising for me to get the fully green plant I'm after. There's a couple more seed pods ripening though so maybe I'll keep trying.

Not looking good for these sadly. The extra cold draughts and lack of light from the stormy weather is killing them off I think. The leaves are just to tender to survive without help at this time of year. A heat mat and grow light would help but I'm not feeling flush enough for that this year. I've moved them to a south-facing window sill but unless we have a few weeks of good weather I don't expect they'll improve.

Well here's an odd thing. I was moving some plants in the greenhouse today and found these three spider plant seedlings growing in with a pachypodium. The seed must have been produced at the same time as the seedlings I was growing on this thread because my main spider plant hasn't been room as this plant since then. So much for having to sow fresh... Hopefully these will do a bit better than my previous attempts anyway.
