    It's beautiful in the Autumn/early Winter, but not very attractive throughout Spring and Summer, unfortunately.

    I’ve got one of those, never had a berry on it, I did read somewhere that you need two, or one nearby.   Anyone know if that’s true. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    I've heard that as well. I had 3 but never a berry and they never flourished

    Perhaps it’s just not suited to my garden then,   Cold windy and acid.

    hmm, cold ,dry, (except this season) and alkaline here. :)

    Don't lose hope, Lyn and nutcutlet. I was so tired of mine not producing any berries for 5 years I planned to throw it out. Instead I put it in a pot, in a 'forgotten', darkish part of the garden where it stayed unloved until 2 years ago when I came across it and felt guilty for ignoring it for so long. It was still thriving so I planted it back in the garden ( in an alkaline soil, west facing) and it has been full of berries this year!
