Has anyone got any good ideas for controlling scale insects on moth orchids please . Thanks

Dip a cotton bud into some vodka (or gin/brandy/scotch etc) and just dab each 'shell' with it, should do the trick.

A stencil type brush and methylated spirit. Unless your rich, then alcohol would do.

Stiff brushes used for acrylics are best, especially the cheapo ones.
In London. Keen but lazy.
