Well it turns out the Eden Project's customer service isn't so great. My bee hotel had a manufacturing defect so some of the holes were missing. I emailed them about it on the 3rd of December, got no reply, chased them a week or so after and they offered a partial refund. I still haven't had the refund and they're now ignoring my chasing emails :/  I thought they were just busy before Xmas but I've no idea why I'm being ignored now.

Do you Tweet?  I don’t but folk who do say it almost guarantees a prompt response from high profile businesses with a reputation to protect.

I'm not a tweeter but I might email the manufacturer directly and see what they say. It's a UK company so they should be interested that their quality control failed to pick up the defects if nothing else.

That might work or maybe a post on Eden's FB page?  Nice and public.  Bad publicity tends to galvanise commerce into action.

They've replied! They said they haven't received my previous emails even though they always receive my emails chasing the emails they haven't replied to. They offered a 15% discount or I can return it to them for a full refund. The discount is probably less than it will cost them in return postage for an item they can't sell but that's up to them I guess.
