@Marlorena It's my grandmother and she is getting old to be able to do what she was used to. It's now more about a pot here and there and losing the battle with weeds in her small garden... not enough space and energy for a big rose. Interestingly, I actually bought a rose for my mother who has a huge garden. She dislikes roses because they are thorny and I bought her a rugosa I am evil. But it's a special one - 'Snowdon' - because she visited us this year and we climbed Snowdon in ugly weather so it's for the memory. And she can plant it in some corner of her big garden and forget it. It's on its way somewhere in the postal system at the moment.
whoops.. sorry I misread... yes your grandmother... oh well.. I'm pleased you got a rose for your mother and a good one for sentimental reasons... perhaps she can get to like it a bit... it was nice of you to do that, and to think of your grandmother too....
