Morning M-U and thanks for that! Put me of my breakfast too.
Love the idea of Boudicca blades as you leap out on the unsuspecting populace.

Good morning everyone . The pics you are posting LB are so lovely. Thank you for posting information about the Bismark loaf . I had completely forgotten about the icing and almonds ,too busy drooling over the filling . Custard on a Bismark ? They should be sliced and buttered ,as MU says. Nearly Christmas holidays Ante ,hang on in there .Chive keep warm .
Mary Beard ,one of my favourite tv historians .
MU , we buttered the Sally Lunn loaf also .

Morning all.  Still not quite awake and may go back to bed for an hour.  Stormy night and, from the window, I can see two bins blown over.  If weather stays like this I wont be walking round to my friend's this afternoon.

Would love a slice (or two or three) of Bismark loaf.

Mary Beard is a very knowledgeable person and I could listen to her for ages.

LB all are enjoying your broadlands pictures, thank you.  I've watched a few programmes with Lucy Worsley and found them rather interesting.  Ante :).   Just having a cup of tea after tidying.  Chey very much hope you are relaxing in hospital and the treatment you are receiving is very good and wishing you a speedy recovery.  Another cool breezy day here.

    Morning 🙂 Windy innit?

Another lovely picture LB. I associate the light in that one with Boxing Day walks with friends (pre-marriage when we were all trying to escape family stuff!) - cold, crisp sunshine, crunchy frost underfoot and then a nice warm up in front of the fire in a local hostelry. Happy days!

MU - what have I told you before about hanging around on street corners for money? A supermarket is only a street corner by another name you know😉😂

I enjoy Lucy Worsley's programmes and books - always good fun. As for the dressing up - well, maybe some of it is a little gratuitous - but I can live with that. Enjoy watching Janina Ramirez too. Can't be done with 2 of the others who pout their way through a programme and both have long wavy locks.

Think I may have mentioned before that LW's 'real' job is my dream job.

The SKY man cometh this afternoon. It would probably be kind to have a little dust behind the TV unit so he's not covered in cobwebs and dead flies when he's finished... Sorry Col TT🤭

I'm back from SM too. I wasn't intending going today but I discovered I had missed the apricot jam (which I hate) for assisting in marzipanning and icing my cake. Once its used as 'glue' for the marzipan it becomes reasonably acceptable. Col. Tiny Tank is a bit more tolerant at this time of year T'Bird.

SKY man been and gone thanks Hazel. All sorted.

Told him straight off I'd like a new SKY box please (even though the old one was less than 8 months old) because the old one had suddenly switched itself on the other day when nobody was using it / had set anything to record etc. Hard drive was spinning, Box was completely jammed and the Box was getting warmer. Second time it had happened.

Put it to him that could have happened while we were away for a few days (or even worse, just gone to bed) - and then the Box would have become hotter and hotter until...

Good lad agreed to change it, no argument. Also gave me an additional, different style remote which is a bit less sensitive. Fed up with the Box pausing or changing channels if I just happen to move a bit heavily while the remote is on the sofa.

Hazel - you can get young childrens' stuff on CBeebies.

Thank goodness Col TT is having a break.  I didn't venture out this afternoon so decided to empty the large carousel of dishes and pots to give it a wash out......let's just say I'm glad no one else saw it.  The insides of the kitchen drawers are next

Well done you T'Bird. Its amazing what you can wheedle out of them. VM have just cut the cost of my package by £15 per month until next February because I am a 'valued customer'. For that I read 'PITA and we'll give this little bonus to shut you up!' Whatever - it works for me.

Predictive text can be funny as for my 'full of child' the other day. I have had 'excrement' when I wished to say excellent and my friend from Crewe, Dianne, often appears as 'diarrhoea'. For some strange reason I get 'Erik' for will. I think Arabian Horse is very elegant. I shall give serious thought to using it.
