Hmm! How to describe them...maybe a pic would help. Size is bound to vary depending on whether they are of flowering size...some may be a lot smaller. Some sites use match/coin/childs hands for scale.
Thanks folks, I was expecting bulbs the same size as crocus but they were more like small tulips, so I suspect I have been sent the wrong bulbs in error. It doesn't really matter though, I'll be interested to see what pops up next spring!
It’s a good while since I planted my Scilla Sibirica bulbs but I do remember them as being rounder and quite a bit larger than crocus corms. Hopefully you have the right ones. Let us know in the spring.

Will do -if I remember. I already have scilla bulbs under the magnolia tree which are completely different and a lot smaller than the ones I have been sent, which was why I was so puzzled.
I’ve got Scillas and Chionodoxa (Glory of the Snow) planted beneath an amelanchier ... I’m pretty sure the Scilla bulbs were quite a bit larger than the Chionodoxa. The scillas looked more like bluebell bulbs and of course they are related ... bluebells used to be called Scilla non-scripta.

I've only got Chionodoxa (Glory of the Snow) planted beneath an amelanchier (like @Dovefromabove ). The bulbs were about one and a half centimetres in diameter.
@Hexagon there is no need to use tinyurl on these forums (although it can be quite useful at times). Actually, for longish internet URLs, the standard way to do things is to insert the link inside some text, as exemplified below:

Please can you tell us next spring if you were sent the correct bulbs.
