Plant ID requests please. I think they are weeds!

  • Bugle - Ajuga reptans - makes good ground cover in a shady area, and has short spires of blue flowers.  There's one with purplish foliage called 'Atropurpurea' and another with variegated leaves called 'Burgundy Glow'.  And probably others too...
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Thanks again All, i will look into everyone's plant suggestions for a spring plant out.
    Better get the bed prepped and weeded!
