Has anyone tried growing tomatoes upside down?

My tomato plants have to share the greenhouse with a grape vine and this year they rather "interfered" with each other!!  I read somewhere that you can grow tomatoes upside down.  Has anyone tried this?

    No but I remember there was a discussion on here several years ago.   I seem to remember cherry toms did OK but anything else is going to get too big and heavy.  Can't remember anything else so not sure how you'd go about planting, hanging and managing the watering and feeding.   Might be best just to grow smaller plants or fewer of them the conventional way so they don't get tangled.

    Tumbler is a well known cherry tomato grown in hanging baskets and containers. They are bush type tomatoes and you could use other bush varieties in a similar way. You would need to consider how you would support the weight of hanging baskets or elevated containers in a greenhouse though.
