    @madpenguin - dodgy keyboard and untrained typing fingers and, for some reason, I no longer have spell check on this forum.

    We have a long, ruined farmhouse building in our plot and that gets swifts and house martins and also black redstarts nesting in it and no doubt others we have yet to identify.    I wonder if the sparrows will colonise that too now that their numbers are increasing.
    Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
