I have the embarrassment of meeting all and sundry after I've been gardening in the local school garden I look after just along the road.  I walk there looking reasonably presentable but dressed for gardening but come home looking like a scarecrow! At least I'm pushing my garden cart laden with tools so neighbours can see what I've been doing.

  • Our front garden is on the route most local children walk to and from school so if I’m doing something interesting out there I usually get some expressions of interest ... they’re also pretty keen on the bird feeders and the occasional displays of flying ants.
If I was to fall and lie sprawled in the flowerbeds I’m sure I could summon a squad of well meaning nine year olds to rescue me 😀
