But people already are - don't you realise we're already just VR? Our 'real' selves (whatever they may be - Jabba The Hun - Wookie Chew Gum)  are plugged in and tripping out somewhere because in their real world AI no longer had any need for them...
The humorous bit is that we blame 'G_d' for all the crap in the world - when we've already seen what VR man would (will) make by looking at the games that get peddled by tech companies already - wait and see what they come up with when that snotty nosed 17 year old tech wizard comes up with totally immersive VR. No wonder no one can work out whether G_d is good or bad - no one factors in the fact the 'he/she' may be some hormonal teenager...  No one judges a games inventor by the game created do they? Did a good 'G_d' create FIFA '19 and a bad one Fortnite - what about Grand Theft Auto?

All Greek to me.  I have never played a VR game and I'm an atheist.

This reminds me of that episode of The Simpsons where Homer gets transported to the 3D world.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

Some years ago now we went to the cinema to see a 3D film
As we left the person in front of us was enthusing about the film and said ‘Wouldn’t it be great if real life was in 3D?’ .........🤯😖 🤣

Talking of overheard comments, as I was crossing the street in Uppingham yesterday, I overheard a man say to the woman he was with, “Well, you can marry me if you like ...”

@philippa smith2  I never worry about getting my gardening clothes grubby.  It's what they're for!   Dry them,  shake off the mud and bits and bung in the machine.

Digital hands - OK for nettles and prickly things but otherwise I like to feel the soil and the plants.

After clearing out the fridge, I've just made some utterly vile vegetable soup😝. Why did I think it would be a good idea to throw some greens in?
I can see why the cabbage soup diet would've worked. You would have been unable to swallow it.
Now I just need to decide whether it goes on the compost heap or down the🚽

Aren't all hands technically digital? My father in law's favourite joke is telling people he had a digital prostate exam.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
