Raspberry

Bought raspberry canes last year. Rubus Joan j. Do they flower in the first year cos I didn't get any and needless to say they didn't fruit. Do I still cut them down to about 4" ? Any help would be appreciated. ☺️

    I would cut them all down to 4” in February, Greg with some Fish, Blood & Bone and mulch with garden compost or souls conditioner. 

    Raspberries are quite thirsty plants do don’t allow them to dry out in the summer.
