@B3 I thought I'd google cotton wool for birds as once my child's hamster needed a trip to the vet to get a foot untangled from cotton wool fibres, it caused a horrible wound. The RSPB don't recommend putting it out for that reason, the fibres are too fine. The wool you get in modern food packaging insulation is great though, that is real animal fibre and very suitable

They're not fine at the moment. A biblical deluge followed by a double deluge flattened it into a solid mass. But it didn't blow away.😊
I won't put any more out but we definitely don't have to be concerned with small fibres with this lot.

Sometimes if you get frozen food delivered by Riverford etc, the food arrives packed in ex-demin fibres or fleece.

Need to google. Never get food
     delivered. Maybe that's the problem😏

Is there a typo? Nothing that comes up makes sense in this context.

Anyway teasel seedheads are a great medium for sticking stuff to😊

Like this @B3, you pull the cover off and it is matted wool https://www.woolcool.com/food/woolcool-food-fleece-liners/
It's for temperature, I receive cheese and fish deliveries in this.

Thanks @Tack. I'm afraid I do my food shopping the old fashioned way😏

The unique odour of blue cheese and sheep wool certainly adds atmosphere to the house when you open a cheese delivery.  :#
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
